Our film reaches final of Liverpool Indie Awards

We're pleased to report another success for our short scifi film Annalium 8: Sssss - it has been named as a finalist at the Liverpool Indie Awards.

There were 900 entries from around the world, so reaching next month's (March 2024) final is another major achievement, following last week's news that the film will be screened at

The Short Cinema: Leicester International Film Festival in April.

It was also a finalist in the Golden Short Festival (Italy), a semi-finalist in the Euphoria Short Film Festival (Spain), in the top four scifi films at the London Seasonal Golden Short Festival, and in the top 30% of entries for the Wild Indie Festival, also in London – with a chance for further improvement when the next round of judging is announced.

film from Weltch Media and Annalium Films was jointly produced by our own Andy Weltch and the scriptwriter Rob Lancey. D

irected by Andrew ‘Griff’ Griffin, it stars Francesca Louise White and Minaii Baelfire (in title picture). Francesca is an award-winning actress, who had the main role in our popular lockdown comedy promo video With a T, and Minaii holds the distinction of being the world’s first Black Young Elsa in a stage production of Frozen.
