Sharing our storytelling skills with university marketers

We were back in the virtual training room this week, passing on our content-writing know-how to a talented group of marketing and communications professionals at the University of Leicester.


The team invited us to deliver a half-day online workshop following the success of similar sessions we’ve run at universities across the UK.

Senior consultant Andrew Weltch and accomplished writer (and long-time Weltch Media collaborator) Victoria Trott teamed up to lead the session.


Together, they explored everything from how to get started when faced with a blank page, to writing for different audiences, crafting persuasive content, and even making smart use of AI.


Participants at this first of two workshops were enthusiastic, sharing feedback such as: “Really great session – thank you!”, “Some great tips and takeaways”, and “Thank you so much for your expertise!”


Between them, Andy and Vicki bring decades of experience creating online and print content for universities nationwide.


And higher education remains one of our specialist areas - we’ve delivered everything from small publications to PR campaigns and full website overhauls.
