An award-winning play, based on the Who Wants to be a Millionaire? ‘coughing major’ scandal is touring the UK.
Quiz, starring Rory Bremner, Lewis Reeves, Charley Webb, and Mark Benton, is at the New Theatre, Cardiff this week (18-21 October), and our companion hyperlocal site Rhiwbina Info was at press night last night.
Reviewer Andy Weltch described it as “energetic, thought-provoking, and packed with laughs”.
He added: “This could easily have been a straight courtroom drama with some caricature comedy thrown in. But, like Chris Tarrant with his cheques, writer James Graham didn’t want to give us that.
“Instead we get an ingenious production, which cleverly presents different interpretations of events and leaves us – the audience – to make up our own minds.”
Quiz is at the New Theatre until Saturday, when the tour moves to Salford.
