On top of the world at the big race

Scotland's Rob McDonald retained his world title in the hot rod championship race at Ipswich on Sunday (19th Sepember). It was a big occasion for our senior consultant Andy Weltch, who fulfilled a childhood ambition by seeing the race in real life for the first time. In our latest blog post, he recounts how he used to watch the race on a black and white TV, regarding the Ipswich venue as being as exotic and distant as Monaco or Indianapolis. He adds "my first experience of the world final Spedeweekend was almost everything that geeky ’70s kid could have hoped – albeit 40-odd years late". You can read the blog here.
