Racer Tom offers sponsor packages

Racing driver Tom Sutton is set to return to the track with new opportunities for sponsors.

Tom, a long-time friend of Weltch Media, is preparing to rejoin the UK’s oval-track Legends Car series and is seeking help to get him to the start line.

“The car is almost there,” said Tom, a former British Champion in Legends Cars – high-speed 5/8-scale replicas of classic American stock cars.

“We just need some extra help with tyres, a number kit, and fuel. Then we can make the final adjustments, and we’ll be good to go.”

Sponsors would get their logo or name on the car as well as mentions on Tom’s popular social media pages.

With the season almost half-way through, Tom’s aim is to find the perfect set-up for the car on the Hoosier tyres which the Legends now use, and to build on that knowledge to launch a serious campaign next year.

Based in Boston, Lincolnshire, Tom is an experienced and accomplished racer. He started competing in Junior Ministox in 2001 and switched to Rebels a few years later, winning the rookie of the year title and taking several podium finishes before moving to Legends Cars in 2011.

Again, he won the rookie championship in his first season and went on to win the semi-pro championship twice, as well as the British championship, numerous race wins and podium places.

He also competed in autograss for 18 months, 2013-2014, qualifying for the national championship in his first full season.
