Torquay women win again

Torquay United’s women, wearing our logo on their shorts, scored a 4-1 win at Poole Town yesterday (Sunday) to continue their unbeaten start to the league season.

The goals came from Mollie Taylor (2), Tee Kaptein, and Lily Hilton, to put United in 6th place, eight points behind leaders Sherborne – but with four games in hand.

Torquay play in the South West Women's Regional League Premier Division, the fifth tier of women's soccer in England, and are aiming for promotion back to the FA National League.

The resuIt concluded a sensational weekend for the club, after the men beat Eastbourne 7-0 on Saturday.
