In Arts & Entertainment

A new stage adaptation of the classic Hitchcock film The Lady Vanishes has been touring the UK.

Our senior consultant Andrew Weltch reviewed the opening night of its week-long run at Cardiff’s New Theatre (Tuesday July 16th) for our companion hyperlocal news site, Rhiwbina Info, and described it as “an old-fashioned thriller, with intrigue, laughs, and action”.

The cast is headed by Juliet Mills and her husband Maxwell Caulfield, and also includes EastEnders‘ Lorna Fitzgerald in the lead role of Iris – a British socialite-turned-detective on a train journey across pre-World War Two Europe.

The Lady Vanishes continues in Cardiff until Saturday, before moving to Leeds from July 22nd.
