Our Andy Weltch is embarking on a year-long campaign to support the Big Moose ‘Project 1 Million’.

The Cardiff-based charity and coffee shop aims to raise £1 million in 2022 to provide mental health therapy and counselling around the UK and potentially further afield.

The support is to help people facing homelessness, considering suicide, or just needing help.

Andy is among those committed to raising £10,000 through the year.

The first part of his campaign is to run 10k on or around the 10th of each month. He’s encouraging others to join him virtually and, if possible, donate £10 to the fund.

He completed his first 10k this week (January 10th) and has already had several donations. “I’m so grateful for the support so far,” he said. “Several people have said they will run in future months, and potentially involve others and get more sponsorship too.

“It doesn’t have to be 10k – any distance, walking or running, is fine, and any donations are welcome, of course!”

As well as the monthly runs, there will be other events too, and Andy is keen to hear from anyone who has ideas or can support in any way.
