A new post on our companion arts and entertainment blog Piece of Pink Pie looks at two famous alumni of a school in Devon.

The post by our senior consultant Andrew Weltch spotlights two West Country actors, who (he recently discovered) both went to his old school, Exeter School.

They are Robert Newton, whose definitive portrayal of Long John Silver in Disney’s Treasure Island (1950) created the concept of the ‘pirate accent’; and George Woodbridge, a familiar figure in many British films, especially horror and comedy.
