Another big win for Torquay's women

Torquay United Women - with our logo on their shorts - scored another big win over struggling Bishops Lydeard yesterday (Sunday 8 March).

Having beaten the Somerset team 8-0 in Taunton last week, Torquay went one better by winning 9-0 in yesterday's home fixture.

Connie Pengelly opened the scoring after just 27 seconds and completed her hat-trick in 14 minutes.

Connie went on to net a fourth, with further scores from Matti Franchi (2), Tee Kaptein, Roxy Thomas, and Jasmine Barker (penalty).

The Gulls are pushing for a place in the FA National League by gaining promotion from the South West Women's Regional League Premier Division, the fifth tier of the English game.
