Super 8 for Torquay women's promotion push

Torquay United Women's promotion chase remains on course, after an emphatic 8-0 win at Bishops Lydeard yesterday (Sunday 1 March).

Playing with the Weltch Media logo on their shorts, the Gulls are pushing for a place in the FA National League by gaining promotion from the South West Women's Regional League Premier Division, the fifth tier of the English game.

Jess Geach put the visitors ahead after a slow start, and then the goals flowed. Connie Pengelly bagged another hat-trick, and there were also goals from Beth Everson, Tee Kaptein, Ella Pawley, and Evelyn Bray.
