Torquay United's women, with our logo on their shorts, scored an emphatic 4-1 win at promotion rivals Forest Green Rovers yesterday (Sunday 12 April) to boost their bid for the league title.

United's scorers were Connie Pengelly, who netted twice, including one from the penalty spot, Beth Everson, and Tee Kaptein.

The Gulls are pushing for a place in the FA National League by gaining promotion from the South West Women's Regional League Premier Division, the fifth tier of the English game.

They now have a five-point lead at the top of the table, with four games to play.

Our long-time sponsored player, Danni Wyatt, who's currently sidelined with injury, spoke to us after the game: "Ecstatic to head back to Devon with three points today. I just felt we really outplayed a good FGR side this afternoon - the girls were fantastic going forward and defensively really solid.

"Really focused on these last few results now with the title in touching distance - again! Pinch me! What a team, so proud."

As well as being this season's shorts sponsor, we have sponsored Danni for several years, dating back to the 2017/18 season.
