High Society - a swellegant, elegant experience

A lavish new production of the Cole Porter musical High Society has started a tour of the UK and Ireland, after a successful run in the West End.

Our companion local site, the award-winning Rhiwbina Info, was invited to review its opening night at Cardiff's New Theatre last night (21 July).

Reviewer Andy Weltch described it as "a spectacular, top-quality West End production full of comedy, romance, and some of the 20th century's greatest songs."

He added: "Overall, this is a just-about-perfect theatrical experience - it looks fabulous, it sounds wonderful, and it will make you feel on top of the world. A swellegant, elegant experience indeed".

High Society is at Cardiff's New Theatre until Saturday (25 July), when it moves on to Southend.
