Our latest media training earns praise

We have been back in the training room this week to give delegates an insight into the workings of the media and first-hand experience of being interviewed.

Mariclare Carey-Jones and Andy Weltch hosted the day-long event for RCN (Royal College of Nursing) Wales at their Cardiff HQ.

The day included an introduction to the different types of news media, a look at some good (and not so good) TV interviews, and then being interviewed for press, radio, and TV, followed by helpful feedback and discussion. There was also a brief session on social media use.

Delegates said the training gave them a better understanding of the media and improved their confidence, with comments such as "a really useful day", "enjoyable and helpful".

Andrew Donaghy, from the King's Nursing Cadets, said: "The training was comprehensive and thorough without being complicated - Andy and Mariclare were fantastic teachers whose experience and knowledge were invaluable for everyone involved!"

We've been running media training for well over a decade and can adapt these sessions to suit any client, online or in-person. We also offer more advanced training with a developing crisis or other scenario.

We aim to make our training affordable, useful, and fun. See what others have said, and check out this little video.

We also offer copywriting and newswriting training online or in-person to help you and your team improve your website, blogs or publications.

Contact us to discuss for an informal chat to explore how we could help you or your team.
