How Cardiff roots inspired a sitcom pilot

An award-winning writer has explained how growing up in a Cardiff suburb inspired her new sitcom pilot.

In an interview on our companion arts and entertainment blog Piece of Pink Pie, Carys Thomas discusses her childhood in Rhiwbina and the experiences which helped create Misguided for Channel 4.

The pilot, now available to stream, follows former popular girl and full-time rebel Rhiannon, as she’s forced to join a deeply uncool Guide group.
