How the big-race Rebels are lining up - so far

Today, we're pleased to share the latest look at how the grid for the Weltch Media World-Wide Rebellion is taking shape.

The updated line-up follows last weekend's (25-26 July) qualifying round at Lochgelly in Scotland, and it again shows defending champion Shay Murphy on pole position, now with Danny Maddox sharing the front row.

Liam Brown is on row two, alongside Harry Graham, who retained his European title in Scotland last weekend.

The grid is kindly provided by Rachel Hunn of Rebels Racing, with the reminder that this is just for fun as the points stand, and there's a long way to go before the big race itself.

We'll continue to check in on the series, as the countdown continues to Saturday 19 September at Mendips Raceway in Somerset - the first time the big race will be held in South West England.

The Weltch Media World-Wide Rebellion brings together the top 38 drivers from this popular oval-track series, with the highest-scoring drivers starting at the front on the big night.

Rebels are small-scale retro-style stock cars, which have entertained crowds on short oval tracks around the UK and mainland Europe since the 1990s.

The cars are single-seat racers, built to withstand the contact that comes with close racing on tight tracks, and with lightweight body shells modelled on a 5/8-scale replica of the classic Ford Popular.

This is the latest chapter in our long-time involvement in motorsport, which has included working on publicity and promotional campaigns for promoters and drivers over many years.

We've helped leading Legends Car drivers in both the UK and Irish Championships, as well as working with Mendips Raceway to publicise the Formula 2 Stock Car World Championship final.

In recent years, we've teamed up with national hot rod driver, Mark Shelper in his races around the UK, and with race-winning teams in international sim-racing. 

And this season, we've now started working with Tom Sutton in the UK Oval Track Legends Championship.
