Operation Mincemeat - a frantic feast of fun

The highly acclaimed, award-winning musical comedy Operation Mincemeat is touring the UK, and our companion local news site Rhiwbina Info was invited to its opening night in Cardiff on Tuesday (15 September).

Telling the true story of a bizarre and daring World War 2 MI5 plot, reviewer Andy Weltch described it as "something of a comedy masterpiece".

He added: "This is a frantic feast of fun, with jokes, dances, crazy characters, and some 20 songs, including a spectacular Glitzy Finale!

"A madcap musical comedy about wartime espionage really shouldn't work, but it really does."

Operation Mincemeat is at Cardiff's New Theatre until Saturday (19 September), when it moves on to Swansea.
