The animator and director of our upcoming short film A Fish Out of Water has announced the release of his latest project.

Matthew Creed has shared the news that the point-and-click adventure game Foolish Mortals is now available on Steam and GOG (formerly Good Old Games).

The game has been four years in the making, with Matthew as animation director.

"I almost can't believe it's true," he said. "Finally, people will get to play and experience what we've been working on for so long.

"It has been a real pleasure to work with a fantastic team of animators to bring it to life."

Foolish Mortals is a full-length, fully voiced, hand-drawn game in the classic style, inspired by games like Monkey Island and Broken Sword.

Immersed in 1930s Louisiana, players take on the role of young treasure hunter Murphy McCallan, voiced by AJ LoCascio (Marty McFly in Back to the Future: The Game, Han Solo in LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga, Gambit in X-Men ’97).

Thirty-three years ago an entire wedding suddenly and mysteriously vanished on the island of Devil's Rock, and with it went the location of the lost treasure of Bellemore Manor. To find it, players may have to risk dying too.

Foolish Mortals from Inklingwood Studios is available on Steam here. And here's a great trailer to get you in the mood.

Matthew is currently working on our upcoming animated short A Fish Out of Water - a 'tale of the fantastical and bizarre' set in an alternative version of the 1890s. We'll be sharing more news about this soon.
