With Halloween approaching, Cardiff’s New Theatre this week (October 11-15) hosts When Darkness Falls – a new play involving a series of supernatural stories from Guernsey’s rich folklore and history.

Our companion hyperlocal site Rhiwbina Info was there to review its opening night at the city’s New Theatre, describing it as “a powerful production … delivering some genuinelty scary moments.”

The reviewer, our senior consultant Andy Weltch, added: “This is a super scary play to prepare you for Halloween. You’ll be disturbed by the stories, unnerved by the atmosphere, and probably intrigued about the connection. Be prepared to jump out of your seat! .”

When Darkness Falls, starring Peter Duncan and Daniel Rainford, is in Cardiff until Saturday, when it moves to Oldham and then, appropriately, St Peter Port, Guernsey.
