The latest addition to the talented team creating our first animated short film A Fish Out of Water is the acclaimed folk group The Grand Old Echo.
Group members Jenni Grossmann and Alex Miller will perform their own composition Time on the Stage as musicians in The Wild Rover – the waterfront beer house, where much of the film takes place.

The Essex-based group describe their music as ‘city folk’, and the film’s sound designer and composer, Charlie Diggle says their sound will slot perfectly into the scene.
“This is really the final piece of the jigsaw as far as the film’s sound is concerned,” said Charlie. “Their style fits perfectly with the atmosphere we’ve created in The Wild Rover and having such talented musicians record a piece specifically for us is absolutely ideal. It will really help the scene come to life.”
Alex commented: "We're really proud to be part of this project. A Fish Out of Water takes place in a wonderful and mysterious world - we're privileged to bring a bit of The Grand Old Echo into it."

Described as 'a Victorian tale of the fantastical and bizarre' and set in an alternative version of the 1890s, A Fish Out of Water is Weltch Media’s first venture into animation.
It is directed by Matthew Creed from a screenplay by Andrew Weltch and Robert Lancey, based on Andy’s story, and with illustrations by Anthony Richards.
The cast is led by Robert Daws, with Francesca Louise White, Richard Oliver, and Samantha Hudson.
The script has already been selected in two international competitions, and you can find more about it on the film's IMDb page. You can also watch the teaser trailer here.
We expect the film to be completed within the next few months.
