Today we can unveil the latest artwork for our upcoming animated short film A Fish Out of Water.

The new image shows patrons in The Wild Rover - the Victorian harbourside beer house where our protagonist Henry Godliman has come to hear about the recent voyage by a group of seafarers.

The superb artwork by designer and illustrator Anthony Richards presents an array of characters giving Henry (voiced by Robert Daws) an unsettling welcome as he nervously enters.

Described as 'a Victorian tale of the fantastical and bizarre' and set in an alternative version of the 1890s, A Fish Out of Water is animated and directed by Matthew Creed from a screenplay by Andrew Weltch and Robert Lancey.

"Anthony's latest artwork shows many of the regulars in The Wild Rover," said Andy. "It gives us a wonderful insight into the nature of the place, and the unfamiliar environment Henry is entering."

Previously, we have shared the design for the pub sign, The Wild Rover, and Anthony's art for the harbour scene at the opening of the film.

Last summer, we shared his artwork for four of the film's main characters - Henry Godliman (voiced by Robert Daws), Lizzie Shepherd (Francesca Louise White), Joseph Carhart (Richard Oliver), and Sarah Babb (Samantha Hudson).

The script, based on Andy's original story, has already been selected in two international competitions, and you can find more about it on the film's IMDb page.
