Congratulation to our Danni Wyatt and Torquay United Women who kept up their push for promotion with a 2-2 tie at fellow title-chasers, Bristol Rovers.
Assistant manager Danni is recovering from a knee injury and didn’t play yesterday (Sunday 19 February) but was pleased with the result, thanks to goals from Connie Pengelly and Tee Kaptein.

“I felt we dominated in most parts of the game and we knew Bristol Rovers would test us in parts,” she said. “They’re a great passing side.
“A much better second-half performance from us saw us go 2-1 up but with a lot of stoppage and injuries leaving us exhausted of resources in the dying minutes, Bristol pulled one back. A great game with lots of talent on show from both teams

Weltch Media first sponsored Danni in the 2017/18 campaign, when she helped Torquay to third place in the South West Regional Premier Division and to the final of the Devon Cup and won the goal of the season award. Last season she helped Torquay to a sensational victory in the Devon FA Cup Final and was named club player of the season.
