We're excited to share the first teaser trailer for our debut animated short film A Fish Out of Water, giving a sneak peek into the work so far.
Described as 'a Victorian tale of the fantastical and bizarre' and set in an alternative version of the 1890s, the film is animated and directed by Matthew Creed from a screenplay by Andrew Weltch and Robert Lancey, with illustration and design by Anthony Richards.
Matthew has now completed a draft for the film, from which he created the teaser.
"It's been an absolute joy working with the core team to bring this story to life," he said.
"I'm proud of what we've done, and looking forward to stepping away for a while and coming back in the New Year to refine it further with a fresh pair of eyes.
"The film is now being sent to our sound guru Charlie Diggle who will add music and foley to take the film up another level".
You can watch the teaser here.
Previously, we have shared the design for the pub sign, The Wild Rover, and Anthony's art for the harbour scene at the opening of the film.
Before that, there was the background art for The Wild Rover's bar, and in the summer, we shared his artwork for four of the film's main characters - Henry Godliman (voiced by Robert Daws), Lizzie Shepherd (Francesca Louise White), Joseph Carhart (Richard Oliver), and Sarah Babb (Samantha Hudson).
The script, based on Andy's original story, has already been selected in two international competitions, and you can find more about it on the film's IMDb page.
